
"I knew from an early age that I had to be a part of hip hop" says Cess Wonder. "Once I put pen to paper and wrote my first rhyme I was hooked." The “80's baby,” New York rapper, plans to make her mark in the music industry by staying at the top of her game forever. Given the name Cess Wonder, also known as Wonder Woman, was named thusly by her cousin when he recognized her ability to exude great strength and tenacity through tough times. The name stuck because it illustrated her powerful persona and she continued to exude the characteristics of a wondrous woman. The youngest of three, Cess Wonder grew up watching her two older brothers write and recite raps regularly. Being raised in a household where all types of music were constantly being played, it soon became her passion. At the age of eight, Cess Wonder began putting together local talent shows, where she would host as well as perform.
Cess Wonder draws inspiration from a host of great artist. She cites Jay-Z as her major musical influence, and hopes to one day inspire others as she has been. Cess Wonder can be seen showcasing throughout the New York, Connecticut, and the New Jersey metropolitan area. Cess Wonder has done multiple shows which have always left her audience in complete awe. Cess Wonder has done various showcases where she's won the title as the “Best Female Rapper” and “The Best Rapper.” As evident in her capturing lyrics and energetic performance, Cess Wonder has caught the attention of many, including Taylor Thompson, Executive Assistant at Capitol Records, Du Love, Manager at Violator Records, and Steve Raze, Executive Vice President Of Multimedia and Digital Content for AllHipHop.Com. In her early teens, Cess Wonder had the honor of opening up for hip hop icon A.Z. at the The John Harms Theatre, now known as The Bergen Pac. Cess Wonder is working on a collaborative project with the Block Exchange, comprised of her brother R.H. Bless and other family members. Cess Wonder has also collaborated with rap artist Mike Millz on an upcoming single titled "Put it in The Air" via MBK Entertainment/ J Records. The remix of this soon to be released single consists of Mike Millz, Cess Wonder, Cassidy, Collie Budds, MIMS and other known successful artists. She has also made a cameo appearance at the "Put it in the Air" video shoot. Cess Wonder has been interviewed on 90.1 fm College Radio, by DJ Cut Supreme, 99.1 fm Urban Threshold Radio, by Jesse Jess, and Shades of HipHop Radio, by KurtNice. Cess Wonder has also appeared on B.L.O.C.K. Report DVD, Fumes TV, along with DJ Uncle Ralph Mc Daniels' Video Music Box, performing four of her biggest records, which includes "Hair Swing" & "Lynda Carter". Cess Wonder is also working on her own full length album, and a mixtape, which will be hosted by DJ Uncle Ralph Mc Daniels. Cess Wonder says they will both redefine the meaning of Hip Hop.
Cess Wonder has worked alongside many producers who believe in her talent and aptitude to capture a massive audience. She has worked with Grammy nominated, hip hop Legend, D Moet, on her first credited street anthem titled "Pretty Hard." Cess Wonder has also worked alongside diverse up and coming producers, including P-Nyce. P-Nyce has produced many of her hit records such as "Hair Swing," "Lynda Carter," and "Show Off," which are notable at best for their catchy hooks and cogent lyrics. Cess Wonder states, "I am always ten steps ahead, so while you're planning and plotting, I've already fulfilled my next move. My advice to anyone and everyone who has dreams, is to follow your heart, and not your mind."
